Due to illness and unavailability both the A and B team only had 3 players each, so they all had to play in every game, this coupled with both Hannah and Michael from the A team being ill on the day, made for a tough days Table Tennis.
After the first weekend we were top of the league and had to try and equal this so the pressure was on for Clayton, Michael and Hannah.
Well they certainly rose to the challenge and again ended up unbeaten, with fantastic performances from all 3 players.
Results were, vs Warrington 3-3, vs Formby 4-2, vs Halton 3-3, vs New Ferry 5-1, vs Rhyl 4-2.
In particular the Warrington and Formby results were excellent ones, with some great Table Tennis played and real determination to win on show.
Well played everyone with Man of the Match going to Clayton.
A lot tougher for the 3 man team of Nathan, Max and Cameron, as they really are in a division too high for their standard of play.
Nevertheless, they will learn a lot from playing at this level, which will shortly reflect in their results.
The important thing for this team, is that they learn from both mistakes and good play and progress accordingly – we aren’t too concerned about individual match results.
Results were, vs Hillcourt 1-5, vs Glossop B 0-6, vs Warrington C 2 -4, vs Ramsbottom 3-3, vs Formby C 0-6.
All 3 players contributed games to the final scores, they have a fantastic team ethic.
Well done to Man of the Match – Cameron.
